Remembrance of Service
Grant unto me, thou who are Most Divine,
That needed wisdom and those precious words
So I may do justice to they who served.
Humble beginnings were common to all.
Learning, persevering, growing in faith,
Aided these souls while answering Your call.
Day in and day out, they would seek to share,
Their unique insights and unsurpassed care.
We are a community left without;
No physical entity to soothe us;
No large shoulders to rest our heads upon;
No tangible being to lead the way.
Thoughts within though create their true essence,
Forever placing them into our presence.
This poem was written to remember all of those who have provided us with a little extra freedom and grace in our lives.
